Content bringing warmth across the nation | FROM THE FIELD E05

Warmworks is dedicated to providing affordable warmth to homes across the UK – in association with Energy Saving Trust, Everwarm and Changeworks.

    FoSho Overview:

Since 2015 they have supported more than 25,000 households in Scotland as the Managing Agent of the Scottish Government’s national fuel poverty scheme, Warmer Homes Scotland.

Warmworks have grown significantly in recent years – they’ve expanded further into the UK to deliver more solar, heating, radiators and insulation to homes that need it. Warmworks make a real difference to people’s lives, but they lacked engaging content to convey the true scale and impact of their work.

With a Scottish Parliament reception to be held in June 2022, Warmworks needed new content to communicate why they exist, what they offer and how they deliver their services. After the event, the content would be used for brand building on web and social media, to further convey the incredible impact Warmworks makes in the community.

Finding our voice in a sea of voices

We knew the Warmworks team had a lot to say – and a lot of powerful voices to get across in content. There was too much material for one online video so our solution focused on mini video features, each focusing on a key pillar of the Warmworks brand – Role; People; Customers; Communities and Suppliers.

In addition there was a longer flagship video which touched on all of these key elements and provided an overview of the Warmworks brand. After the Scottish Parliament reception this content would be used to strengthen the launch of the new brand and refreshed website.

    Coordinating a nationwide pre-production

The Warmworks project was hugely complex – 15 individual contributors from as far north as Orkney and as far south as London (and everywhere in between!) Communication and teamwork were key in the pre-production phase to coordinate multiple schedules – whilst ensuring we hit the Parliament event delivery date.

A key element of the filming was authenticity – capturing real Warmworks customers, in their homes, speaking honestly about their unique experiences. We ensured the Warmworks values of Professionalism, Enthusiasm, Teamwork, Innovation and Care weaved throughout and always kept longevity in mind – so the team could use the content for years to come.

    Content to warm the heartstrings

Having authentic, emotive content has been a game-changer for Warmworks. While they had plenty of written content about their mission and services – nothing tells a story quite like video. Being able to film with real customers in their homes added texture, colour and humour to uniquely convey the Warmworks impact.

The Scottish Parliament reception was a massive success and the Warmworks team received lots of positive feedback on the video. The content has also been used to reinforce the Warmworks story on their website and to send to prospective customers as part of their external communications plan.

The FoSho team loved getting the opportunity to tell this important story, to meet the customers whose lives have changed because of Warmworks, and to play a small positive role in the energy crisis. We know this content will help the Warmworks mission continue to go from strength to strength – and we’ve already got new content ideas for them. Watch this space!
