The Adam Smith Business School (ASBS) at the University of Glasgow was looking for content to help prospective postgraduate students get an insight into student life. The challenge was to mix unique student experiences with the key educational benefits of choosing to study at the ASBS.
The video needed to inspire the next generation of students and be suitable for use across social media, student recruitment and external communications.
During pre-production we identified a number of Student Ambassadors who were willing to share their experiences. They all had a unique perspective about what it’s like to live, study and socialise at the ASBS.
There was also a good balance between budget and objectives which enabled us to tell the story of three individual students, as well as combine the key moments for a flagship video.
Our production team met with each student to talk about their lived experience and how they would describe the value of studying at the ASBS.
We then matched their input with key marketing messages from the University and scripted this to real life scenarios. The combination of honest experience and direct-to-camera delivery created the dynamic messaging you’ll see below.
This video marketing package was brilliantly received with positive comments from across the ASBS – especially our Student Ambassadors who were integral to the project and also represented our ideal audience.
This video series will now be used online and offline to help attract the best and brightest students from around the world to the Adam Smith Business School.
